Waves strike a majestic pose in grandeur, Adorning rocks while slapping and thrashing- Symbiotic relationships endure- Godly presence that is everlasting. Sunlight glazes wet rocks, a give and take. Moonlight does not take but gives life anew. Boulders that stand a battering forsake. The water gives its glow, a life renewed Forests dance below everlastingly, Giving shelter to life in wet tumult. Gently swaying, a home so lovingly, Grown life, beyond the sun’s gaze and insult. A scene of majestic chaos and splendor, Hidden in a splash of mighty horror
I have spent quite some time on the Oregon coast. Even though I don’t dare enter the water since it looks so cold, I love looking at the huge boulders getting washed by the sea as it comes in and out. If things go well with my writing, I’d love to take a week or two and work on a book while up there.
I have a few places that I would love to take a week or two and write at. That’s part of my draw into attempting to go traditional. Getting the upfront funding to go write would be nice. We will see what life brings.
I hope you enjoyed my attempt at a sonnet, outside of a classroom.

I loved how much energy you poured into this! And like V said, the imagery is incredible! I've been to the Oregon coast a few times too (as someone who lives in Oregon), and I can definitely feel the inspiration receding and crashing wave first into this poem. So beautiful!!
the imagery is SO good!
